The Colville Rotary Club is pleased to announce plans to offer three different scholarship opportunities for continuing academic education and for vocational endeavors. These scholrships are offered through the Colville High School Counseling Office. The deadline for applications is by 3:15 pm, on or before May 3, 2024, and must be returned to the CHS Counseling Office.

COLVILLE ROTARY CLUB ACADEMIC GRANTS (Requirements)

$3,000 worth of scholarships for graduating seniors to help finance continuing education through the Vinson Fund. The award will be for one (1) student of $3,000.  All graduating seniors planning to continue their education during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible to apply if their plans are to pursue a 4-year Bachelor’s degree. This includes students who plan on completing the first two years of graduate degree requirements at a community college as well as those planning to attend a 4-year college or university.  Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: (a) community service and leadership, (b) character, (c) academic achievement, (d) employment experience, (e) future employment goals, and (f) ability to reach those goals.  Special consideration will be given to students who display excellence in the above criteria and for whom there is a clear need for financial support in order to meet educational goals.

COLVILLE ROTARY CLUB VOCATIONAL GRANTS (Requirements)

   The Colville Rotary Club is pleased to announce plans to offer $1,000 worth of scholarships for graduating seniors to help finance continuing education. The division of the $1,000 will not be determined until after all applicants have been interviewed, though possible awards include (a) two scholarships in the sum of $500, or (b) one scholarships in the sum of $1,000..  All graduating seniors planning to continue their education during the 2023-24 academic year are eligible to apply as well as those having graduated from Colville High School the previous year if their plans are to pursue a 2-year Bachelor’s degree.    The McKellar Family Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce plans to offer $1,000 worth of scholarships for a graduating senior to help finance continuing education.  All graduating seniors planning to continue their education during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible to apply if their plans are to pursue any educational 2 or 4 year degree or a vocational program. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: (a) community service and leadership, (b) character, (c) academic achievement, (d) employment experience, (e) future employment goals, and (f) ability to reach those goals.  Special consideration will be given to students who display excellence in the above criteria and for whom there is a clear need for financial support in order to meet educational goals.
